ServerBuilds is the custom-configuration platform from Options Direct — data centre solution experts who specialise in configuring, building, and shipping servers, storage, and networking around the globe. Every rack server we sell is assembled and burn-in tested by our team before it leaves the building.
Our story
Founded by people who’d already spent decades in the industry — and seen its rough edges.
Options Direct was founded in 2014 by a group of professionals whose combined experience in IT infrastructure stretched to more than seven decades. The goal was simple: deliver enterprise hardware with the kind of seamless B2B experience they had spent years wishing for themselves — fewer surprises, better fit, faster turnaround.
ServerBuilds is the configuration arm of that business. It pairs a deep multi-vendor catalogue with a configurator built around real workload constraints — PCIe lane budget, thermal headroom, power envelope — so the spec you walk away with actually works in production. No consumer-grade substitutions, no compatibility surprises at delivery.
What we do
Configure
Pick CPU, GPU count, memory, NVMe layout, RAID, networking, and chassis independently — every BOM is validated for compatibility, thermal headroom, and sustained performance before you order.
Build & test
Assembled at our UK facility with full burn-in testing, BIOS optimisation, and firmware configuration. Enterprise components only — ECC-registered DDR5, U.2 NVMe, Titanium-rated PSUs.
Deliver worldwide
Shipped to more than 60 countries with full customs documentation, white-glove data centre delivery, and colo rack installation coordination where you need it.
Vendor partnerships
We work with Tier 1 vendors to build integrated solutions tailored to the workload — HPE, Supermicro, GIGABYTE, ASUS, Dell, Cisco, VAST, Infortrend, and QNAP, among others. That breadth lets us stay vendor-agnostic and recommend what genuinely fits, not what we happen to stock.

Customer data, configuration records, and internal systems are governed by an information-security framework independently audited against the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
